Complex Offshore North Sea Operation.
TAQA required a system to manage the technical operations of the Brent Pipeline system, including allocation and communication with participants and partners, and the back allocation for their complex offshore assets (both oil and gas) in the North Sea.

TAQA Bratani operates complex offshore assets: five platforms, over 30 fields (13 operated), and over 175 wells. As the Brent Pipeline Operator, they manage Fuel Gas purchases for gas deficient fields in the Brent pipeline area.
They required a system to manage the technical operations of the pipeline system, including allocation and communication with participants and partners, and the back allocation for their production assets in the North Sea (both oil and gas).
TAQA required a new system quickly, and the EnergySys Cloud Platform was the only solution able to accommodate the deadline.
They use OFM to manage and improve their oil and gas field performance and needed their production allocation solution to work in conjunction with OFM for in depth reporting. EnergySys easily integrates with third party software, and it’s flexibility allows TAQA to easily update their horizon allocation percentages over time and automatically handles the different naming conventions used in the two systems. Keeping the allocation system and OFM up to date with a very active drilling schedule is now an easy process.
Having used EnergySys for over 10 years, TAQA have configured their EnergySys implementation to be highly automated, allowing participants to email data directly to the system. Subsequent validation and calculation processes are run automatically on receipt of data. The Hydrocarbon Accountant can monitor the entire workflow, from data receipt to final allocation, by email.
The system is also used by a wide range of departments within the company, allowing the Reservoir Engineers, Process Engineers, and Commercial group to view and use data, as appropriate to their roles, directly in the system and/or through reports.
