Transform your LNG operations
Utilise the power of low-code software to enhance efficiency and enable seamless collaboration across various stakeholders.
Challenges for the LNG market
The global LNG market has matured rapidly. It has quadrupled in size over the last 20 years and volume traded is expected to grow up to 700 MT by 2040. EnergySys partner, Infosys, claims LNG is one of the "major drivers behind the growth of natural gas in the energy mix and will shape the overall strategies and investments of leading energy players for the years to come."
The market is in a state of flux even as it continues to grow. Flexibility and nimbleness are key for businesses to expand not just volumes, but also value. Operators must utilise all the digital tools at their disposal to successfully navigate dynamic business demands and meet fast changing government and international regulations. This is where low-code software, like EnergySys, is providing a competitive edge to LNG operators.
The Rise of SaaS Low-Code Solutions for LNG
LNG import operations encompass a multitude of complex processes, ranging from terminal management to supply chain logistics. In India, a country with a rapidly growing demand for energy, optimising these operations is not merely advantageous but necessary for economic growth and energy security. Traditional software solutions often come with high development costs, prolonged implementation timelines, and limited adaptability to evolving operational needs.
By combining agility, adaptability, cost-effectiveness, and collaboration, EnergySys empowers organisations to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and drive sustainable growth in the dynamic energy landscape. As India continues its journey towards energy security and economic prosperity, solutions like EnergySys will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the future of LNG importation. LNG and the journey to renewable energy
LNG import and export can help energy businesses find the balance between three key requirements: cost-efficiency, security; and a stable journey to net zero.
A resource from National Grid states that "Natural Gas may be a fossil fuel, but it’s making the transition to green energy possible – successfully helping renewables to become the UK’s largest source of power."
LNG has other uses in the race to net zero. It can act as the ‘feedstock’ for low-carbon hydrogen – a net zero process as it captures the carbon emissions during the manufacturing process – meaning it has the potential to become part of a new hydrogen economy.
Angola LNG (ALNG)
BP LNG
Atlantic LNG
ALNG operate a liquefaction terminal at Soyo on the Angolan coast, gathering gas from a range of offshore fields via a 500km pipeline network. This EnergySys implementation gathers data from 3 offshore blocks, a central processing facility including flare, fuel, Power Generation and Refrigeration measurement (hourly and daily), a tank farm (levels and temperatures) and domestic gas flows, as well as daily compositional data. EnergySys supports the sale of LNG, Propane, Butane and Condensate handling around 80 cargoes per year.
BP's production includes a FPSO vessel, LNG production facility and associated offloading of the produced LNG and condensate.
Using EnergySys, bp are delivering the production allocation, environmental reporting, hydrocarbon accounting and commercial sales requirements for this value chain.
The Atlantic LNG plant in Trinidad is one of the world’s leading producers of LNG and is a pioneer in the application of IT to the management of its business The EnergySys Cloud Platform manages Atlantic's nomination and allocation process, covering LNG, NGLs, and the delivery of gas to the plant via a significant number of distinct streams over three pipelines.
Why EnergySys for LNG?
The EnergySys Cloud Platform is one of the leading software solutions for energy. It helps business people solve complex data management challenges by providing a secure, flexible and robust low-code platform for application development.
The software allows users to easily create complex applications, like Hydrocarbon Management, that meet your unique requirements. Business end-users are able to make changes quickly and easily without programmers, IT specialists or vendors.
With the ability to swiftly adapt to the industry’s ever evolving landscape, EnergySys empowers LNG companies to optimise their operations from production and processing to distribution. By ensuring accurate data management, streamlined workflows, and seamless integration, EnergySys enhances efficiency and decision making. The flexibility of our low-code platform enable LNG businesses to tackle complex challenges with ease and leverage data driven insights for improved performance and strategic growth.
Woodside
Santos
Mitsui E&P Australia
Migrated all North West Shelf Production Allocation, Loss Management and LNG Plant Control Room process from their legacy system to EnergySys. This project was completed in just 14 months.
This project was delivered as part of a successful Energy Components to EnergySys migration, managing the supply into Santos' LNG plant. Santos also migrated and integrated all production systems for Santos' DLNG upon the acquisition of Oil Search.
This implementation is set to transfer the company's LNG (JV) as well as their Domestic Gas Commercial Operations Solution onto the EnergySys Cloud Platform. The first phase of the implementation has gone live and the second is in planning.
